Child of God~episode 3

Recently I made the decision to start back doing something that made me feel so energetic and wholesome and that was running.

I can recall how I used to get up and go running first thing. I miss how much clarity I had in my day, not to mention how fit I was. It was nice to walk up a flight of stairs and not feel like the wind was kicked out of me. I would feel so refreshed and ready to take on the day. More so, I would feel balanced. That is whats so needed in everyday life, balance. I’m thankful that I get to make necessary changes in my life intentionally to create balance. Lately, have you sat down to think on any necessary changes you need to make in your life?

Child of God, Count on Your Faith

How do you keep balance in your life living in a world that displays so much mental and physical chaos? In these past two years, especially, I’ve learned to keep my health up but most importantly, keep my faith up.

A realization that I find in running is that the strength that it takes for me to lift the weight of my legs and propel myself forward is as symbolic to me of the strength that I need to overcome anything trying to outweigh me, get me down. How do you trust God to propel you forward into your next blessing when you feel weighed down?

Each time I run I feel calmer, freer, because I begin to trust that God is removing any weight or burden from me that doesn’t belong there. I trust that he is restoring me in places that I didn’t even realize was broken. He is fulfilling every moment of sadness with his immeasurable joy. As a child of God, you must have the faith to release it all to him, regardless if you are crawling, walking or running in this race.

Child of God, Trust and Believe

In the last episode 2 of this series, I emphasized the importance of trusting God. As you believe while you wait, your blessing begins to unfold. It can be immensely critical to not realize how important trust is. It’s easy to trust what you can see but miracles happen all around that’s not even realized.

Trusting in God is not a requirement. It’s a choice, your choice. If you do this then this will happen as a result of your choices. What does that sound like to you? A consequence sounds about right. If you believe that trusting in God is the right choice, I’ll be much abliged to agree with you. But hey don’t take my word for it. Take a word for it. “Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” -Psalm 40:4

With God, because of his grace and mercy even in times where you can’t seem to let your heart guard down to trust him, he still keeps you safe and protected, loved and unforgotten.

Just imagine how much freer you would be if you lifted up your hands and just said, “Lord, I’ll trust you.” There is a song that would go on to say, “even though it’s not easy, I’ll trust you.” In this walk with Christ, let us not give up, let us finish this race, strong.

Child of God, His Grace is Sufficient…

There are so many things that can cause you to feel out of place. Even if you feel off-balance there is still grace. Grace that provides you with an opportunity to re-focus.

Grace gives you the chance to welcome clarity into your life by making new improvements. This grace is given through love and the love sustains itself in you through prayer.

It’s not by some coincidence you face the obstacles that you do which seemingly feels like you’re the only one experiencing problems. It may be that you have the required strength to defeat that obstacle more better than anyone else who has not yet acquired the knowledge to handle it. You not only have the strength to defeat that obstacle but you have the courage to challenge it head on. You face what you face because of your faith. You conquer what your conquer because of God’s grace.

It can be numbing to get caught up in the fact that what you are going through is for a reason of your own blessing. Even though you will get rewarded for your tribulations, it is still for a greater reason that’s bigger than your own hurt. Thank God for grace. Because even in your whirlpool of mess our dear Lord says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” -2 Corinthians 12:9

In your weakest moment, the Lord is waiting, willing, and ready to come show out just for you.

I love you with the love of the Lord, be blessed my friends.

Until next time….
