Give your very Best

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Matthew 2:10-11 KJV

A Gift that Matters

Jesus was presented with the best gifts upon his birth. Although it is a continual celebration, we recognize the birth of Jesus during the Christmas holiday season. Give thanks that we were gifted with a child who grew into a man that gave us his very best, his life, so that we could have life, more abundantly.

Each day, as much as a struggle it may seem, as low as you may feel, as thinkable your mind can fathom, as sorrowful as your heart may feel, ground your mind to give your very best. Give the very best of you each and everyday. It’s there. It’s on the inside of you because it was already done. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 KJV

You become the impact

You have already been created to do good things and great things will follow you wherever you go if you believe that. It’s so easy to forget others once you are established. But when you become established in what you are doing, you should have some type of impact that prompts you to give an upper-hand to someone else. While you were becoming established, how many others stretched out there hand to help you? If no one didn’t, let it begin with you.

Focus or Fear

Don’t be afraid to make a change and do something different to better yourself or your situation. When doing something different, it can seem awkward and intimidating at first. It may seem bigger than you. It may seem like it can swallow you “but greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 When you are transitioning from old ways and habits and begin to acknowledge the truth within you, don’t place your focus on how the change is transforming your situation. Don’t focus on what it appears. Place your focus on your development and all that you will gain. Place your acknowledgements on Christ. First acknowledge God and then he will direct your path. You can find that all paths aren’t easy or quick. Easy quick developments don’t last long. When you study scripture, you will find that quick and swift actions result in disaster or disregard. When God moves in your life, doing the very best, it is done in his likeness, in his time, because in his time, he is forming the very best in order for it to last, to withstand, and to endure.

Giving your very best each day shouldn’t be done grudgingly or half-heartedly. When God gave to us, he gave us his son Jesus, the very best, with love. When Jesus was given gifts by the three wise men upon his birth, they gave the very best to him, with love. When you were created by God, he placed his love, the very best of himself on the inside of you, with love. Share your gift that’s on the inside of you just as God has shared his gifts with us through his grace.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: As it is written, he hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: His righteousness remaineth for ever.”

2 Corinthians 9:8-9 KJV

Share your Best

Everything you need has already been placed on the inside of you. Focus on the new work God is creating through you. Rejoice on how that new work will captivate others for the glory of God. Share your best with everyone and try stepping out of your comfort zone of a self- appraising shadow and allow God to manifest praises in your life, not expecting them from others. Encourage someone today to start giving their best with you now knowing that we all have a gift on the inside of us. The same God that walks and talks with you is the same God that loves and appreciates the best in others as well. God did not create just 1 of anything for 1 person. He gave special gifts, he gives special blessings to each and every last one of us and its with those gifts that we should use them to Give our Very Best.

God is worth it all because he gave it all. He gave us his son, a Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Prince, and a Mighty Mighty Good Savior.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
